August is flying by, we are all back from holidays and getting the kids ready for a new year at school, but thankfully we still have time to enjoy one last bank holiday!

Defects

Over the past 12 months we have taken on more and more work relating to building defects. We understand the importance and urgency when building defects have been identified and know that one solution does not always meet the needs, so we like to take a personal and tailored approach with each client to understand their specific needs.

 

Building defects occur when industries prescribed requirements, parameters for compliance are not met and they can be lacking in;

  • Good design, specification and detailing.
  • Suitable management arrangements, good management and supervision, quality control, inspection, sign off and audit.
  • Understanding and interpretation of intent – typically due to incompetence’s or some barriers, everything from individual perception on design intent to language can be factors.
